Counseling at Midway

We are facing an epic pent up demand for struggling people. Because we know that life is hard, we're here to offer Pastoral Counseling to help you through whatever season of life you find yourself. Midway Church affirms pastoral counseling based on Biblical Truth as a vital and valuable service because we believe the Word of God as being authoritative Truth for all people at all times; because we believe in the transforming power of faith in Christ that offers authentic change in both people and relationships; and because of our certain confidence that God’s role as creator has placed the ultimate jurisdiction of counseling within the church. We therefore support Bible-based pastoral counseling as the private ministry of the Word of God - tailored specifically to the individuals involved- to reveal truth and support progress toward hope and healing.

Appointments + Availability

Two of our Midway Church Core Values are “Every Human Matters” and “We Choose to Meet People Where They Are.”  Our heart, therefore, is to offer Pastoral Counseling on an “as available” basis to people seeking help in spiritual, relational, and emotional issues affecting their lives.  All requests for pastoral counseling are processed through our Midway Counseling Program, led by Pastor Steve Schneider and his assistant Kim Obukuro.

Most appointments with Pastor Steve are scheduled and conducted at the Midway Church Offices Monday through Wednesday.  We endeavor to accommodate work schedules as best we can.  Early morning and evening appointments and appointments on other days of the week are often possible. We sometimes refer counseling requests to outside professional Christian counselors with whom we partner and those appointments are scheduled directly with those offices after a referral is confirmed.
